A Leather purse-shaped case with gold tooling and mother-of-pearl inlay with gilt trim, is intricately constructed to hide the opera glasses that are hidden inside and are revealed by a latch which causes the purse to "pop" open. The latch is signed "La Mignonne Patent Bte SGDG". Circa 1875.
Condition : Good with minimal signs of age and wear.
